Simple device integration of small-form factor transceivers with HARTING PushPull direct mating

Withstanding harsh environmental conditions and vibrations

Electro-optical converters in small-form factor (SFF und SFP) format have been widespread in the IT and telecom world for years, primarily thanks to their compact design, favorable price and wide range of offers.

This is what the SFF/SFP transceivers have that other solutions lack, and consequently they are finding increasing use in the industrial arena as well. The additional requirements from industry, such as withstanding harsh environmental conditions and vibrations while offering simple handling, must also be taken into consideration.

HARTING PushPull technology is the ideal solution. Overmolded HARTING PushPull cable assemblies with LC duplex mating face offer IP 65 / 67 protection and persuasive, simple handling. The easy-to-integrate PushPull device side allows fiber-optic versions to be added to existing solutions, such as I/O boxes, camera systems or industrial controllers. The transceiver module can be equipped with any SFF/SFP transceivers, and can be connected to the base plate via HARTING har-flex® connectors.

HARTING worked with leading customers from the industrial automation sector to develop this innovative, cost-saving concept. Customer-specific versions with additional features can be created. Just contact us!
