HARTING reports outstanding trade fair success

At the end of November 2006, the Espelkamp based company joined forces with Cisco Systems, the world market leader in network technology. At the SPS/IPC/DRIVES automation trade fair in Nuremberg, the two companies showcased their joint activities in the area of industrial communication. Together with 16 additional, internationally active automation technology companies, HARTING demonstrated the utilization of Standard Ethernet in industrial applications. According to these solutions, automation is achieved by way of a network that extends from the office through to the manufacturing area and generates considerable user benefits in the process. At a press conference dedicated to these topics, HARTING and five other exhibiting companies outlined further developments in the Automation IT area.

The electronica 2006, which took place mid-November in Munich, also underlined HARTING's successful course. Together with its partner ept, a manufacturer of electronic connectors, HARTING presented the "con:card+“ concept as a new quality mark. The unveiling of these genuine worldwide novelties in the AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA areas that are deployed in telecommunications technology, met with lively response from the markets.
"By comparison with the past year we succeeded in considerably boosting our customer contacts. This documents the fact that HARTING's products and further developments of solutions are clearly meeting market and customer requirements," as Rüdiger Prill, managing director of HARTING Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, emphasized.
